La finalidad de esta organización es la práctica y enseñanza de la forma de vida llamada el Islam. Se fundamente en El libro Sagrado del Islam: El CORÁN, y la SUNNAH o Tradición Profética de Mujámmad, el Enviado del ALAH. El Centro Islámico del Ecuador viene laborando ininterrumpidamente desde 15 de octubre 1.994 y está aprobado por el Gobierno Ecuatoriano mediante acuerdo Ministerial N° 720 de fecha 19 de marzo de 1.998. El Centro Islámico del Ecuador es miembro fundador de la OLPADI (Organización Latinoamericana para la difusión del Islam). El Centro Islámico del Ecuador está administrativamente organizado a través de su directiva y diferentes comisiones que atienden las necesidades de sus integrantes.
